OnePlus 12: Slight Improvement in the Flagship Killer
Released initially in China on 5th December, the OnePlus 12 launched globally on 23rd January looking to compete against other flagship phones. Will this phone live up to its hype, specs, and pricing.
Design
OnePlus 12 follows OnePlus 11’s design with a design philosophy inspired by luxury watches giving it a distinctive look from the previous version. The phone comes with a ‘Flowy Emerald’ signature colourway, black finish, and white finish. The OnePlus 12 comes with IP65-certified against dust and water entry which is an improvement from its predecessors.
Specification
The OnePlus 12 comes with a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display. In the camera department, the OnePlus 12 comes with a 32-megapixel camera. On the rear, there is a trio camera setup: 50-megapixel main, 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and 64MP 3x telephoto cameras. The smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which promises a 30% improvement in CPU speeds, a 25% improvement in graphics, and a 10% increase in power efficiency. With the highest spec, you can pair the CPU with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage. All of this power is powered by a 5,400mAH battery which is bigger than most phones.
Price
OnePlus 12 is available for pre-order in the US and UK and ships on 6th February with a starting price of £849 which is equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
