Samsung Unpacked 2023

At Samsung’s Unpacked 2023, Samsung unveiled their new foldable smartphones, smartwatches and tablets. Here is what was announced at the event.

Galaxy Z Fold 5

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with an improved hinge design allowing the Fold 5 to close shut. The Fold 5 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor the Fold 4. Of course, the Fold 5 comes with a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Samsung has opted to keep the same camera system as the Fold 4.  The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is priced at £1,749.

Galaxy Z Flip 5

The biggest improvement announced is the removal of the gap in its folded clamshell state. The latest addition is a larger, more flexible cover display, giving a larger viewing experience and greater functionality. The new Flip 5 is priced at £1,049.

Galaxy Tab S9, S9 Plus, and S9 Ultra

Samsung unleashed its new Galaxy Tab S9 family of tablets. In the line-up, they have introduced a Tab S9 Ultra and Tab S9 Plus. The most significant change is the AMOLED display, faster processors, more RAM options, larger displays, a bigger battery, and an IP68 water resistance rating. Starting at the base model Tab S9 the pricing starts at £799 with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Tab S9 Plus pricing starts at £999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

Galaxy Watch 6

 Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic which has a rotating bezel. The Watch 6 brings a range of improvements to its predecessor. The Watch 6 sees an updated processor and RAM for improved performance. New health features include a high-heart rate alert and fall detection.
