Boston Dynamics: Atlas
Some of you may have heard of Boston Dynamics which focuses on creating robots with advanced mobility, dexterity, and intelligence. Boston Dynamics have developed numerous products such as Spot the agile mobile robot. Boston Dynamics’ most advanced humanoid robot has learnt new tricks. Boston Dynamics’ have given Atlas hands, enabling the robot to lift and move objects with ease. Atlas is able to pick up objects like big planks, bags full of tools, and a barbell. The robot is now able to move around more freely with huge development in locomotion starting with walking on unstable terrain to doing acrobatic moves such as flips. Atlas is able to pick up objects, run, and jump without losing balance. Atlas displays huge advancement in robotic movements and its ability to adjust its movement when lifting heavy loads.
